So I know I only have teenagers left at home but I remember what it’s like to have littles during the holidays. It’s hard!! But fun and amazing at the same time! The magic is so alive with littles! So, a kid friendly Christmas table is important! My sister lives about 15 minutes away and she’s got 4 littles.

Because we have a lot of holidays together, keeping tablescapes kid friendly is definitely on my mind. No one should have to sacrifice style for durability.

(Now I sound like an advertiser.) It’s really not that hard to adjust tablescaping so you can have a worry-free kid friendly holiday table. Here’s a tablescape I designed just for kids! (We adults can definitely enjoy it though!)

Black tablecloth for hiding little sticky fingerprints.
Wrapping paper table runner, easy to throw away after a spill (you know there will be one).

Little wooden houses and little (non-breakable) Christmas trees.
Plastic plates and “glasses” (but they look like real glass).
I did put salt and pepper shakers that were breakable, but too cute not to put on the table…oh and candy dishes too. Also, too cute.

Just a tip…try not to use real candles with kids unless supervised the entire time. They’re like little moths drawn to the flame. Literally. So be careful people!! I hope you’ve enjoyed my kid friendly Christmas table!
Have fun decorating this holiday season!!
As always, all my original content and pictures!
