Fall Through Winter Tablescaping

Fall Through Winter Tablescaping

This tablescape can stay on the table from fall all the way through Christmas and beyond. For those who simply want their table to look great all season long without having to change it out, this one’s for you!

This tablescape is fairly monotone, which I really enjoy…sometimes.  Sometimes it needs a little something extra.  In this tablescape I decided I loved the monotone, so I added!  I added, texture, layers, fragrance and light.  Together, I think I gave it that ‘wow’ factor I was looking for.

I used my slightly raw wood table for a stunning base.  I added circular placemats with chargers and two sets of plates (dinner and salad).  Cutlery was simple and black, napkins were handmade rustic beige cheesecloth pulled through a rough, rustic wood napkin ring.

Again, I layered three different textured table runners and wove fairy lights through one of them that together with the lit candles gave a warm ambiance to the setting. (Pun intended 😉

It might seem odd to include frangrance into a tablescape that will be used for flavorful food that will hopefully fill the house with a wonderful aroma, however; usually for me, my tablecapes are up for days, if not weeks. (Not the dishes and cutlery but the center decor.)  In this case I’ve had these bowls out for weeks already.  I’ve moved them around to different rooms, but they’re still here.  In these large glass bowl/vases I used dried whole cloves for the base, added small pinecones and topped it off with dried orange slices and a large 3 wick candle. I must say they smell AMAZING!

I sprinkled a few larger pinecones and dried orange slices to finish off my layered runners.

This particular table has risen to one of my favorites of all time.  Simple and complex at the same time, kind of like us humans.

I hope this Fall Through Winter Tablescaping has inspired you and given you ideas for your own holiday table!  Happy decorating!
