Natural Fall Dining Room Table Decor

Natural elements with Copper and Sage Fall Dining Room Table Decor for your Thanksgiving Day feast and celebration!

So Thanksgiving day can be crazy! Cooking, decorating, entertaining, and even cleaning! Especially the way I cook! I’m a hot mess. I usually try and make my tablescapes simple enough on hoildays so I can have help from everyone to put it together.  I even let the kids help with silverware! (Because the cutlery dosen’t break!) If I do have something more complex that I can’t really have help with, I try and set it up the night before, so ‘day of’ prep isn’t so stressful.

At the beginning of the season I hunt for pumpkins in all sorts of places and on Thanksgiving I collect them from all over the house and arrange them on the table.  I often try and find unique pumpkins with unique colors to complement my tablescapes.

If you happen to live in an area with leaves that change, gather them before they’re gone. The leaves make perfect additions for in between pumpkins on your table. On this tablescape I used dried corn husk garlands to keep with the natural theme. (Here in AZ our fall colors start to show about January, so I will look on at your beautiful tables with envy!)

I’ve really enjoyed the ‘copper’ trend these last few years. Copper is a variant of orange and absolutely perfect for autumn!

The copper or rose gold tableware, since it’s popularity started, is quite easy to find and not expensive.

Thanksgiving weather here in Arizona is usually in the ‘perfect’ catergory so we tend to eat ‘alfresco’.  Actually, Thanksgiving was really the inspiration for the blog. Not only the name ‘The Alfresco Table’ but since I adore fall I usually volunteer to host Thanksgiving at my house.

I truely only leave a fraction of room on the table for actual plates, silverware and glasses because of my love of tablescaping, so buffet is what happens at my house 99.9% of the time. I’m quite an informal person, so it works for us!

Lighting on any tablescape is super important to me. Ambiance is everything at the table. Here, instead of large candles or tapers I went with copper votives. I must say I’m really happy with the way this Thanksgiving turned out!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this Natural Fall Dining Room Table Decor! Or I should say natural fall porch table decor!

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Tablescaping!
