Natural Boho and Succulent Tablescape

I’m so happy that succulents are so popular right now. Growing up in San Diego and now living in the desert has really made me appreciate them. San Diego for all it’s greenery is still pretty much a coastal desert. Technically it’s a chaparral, but when you add water is very green.

A lot of the same things grow here and succulents thrive in both areas. AND boho is very popular and succulents complement that look very well. So, basically all I’m saying is succulents are awesome! Soooooo… I had to do a tablescape with succulents. I used faux plants because, well, I have a black thumb (possibly a very dark brown).

In the containers I used pebbles to arrange the succulents. I know I’ve said this in the past but pea pebbles are the way to go for arrangements. Inexpensive, completely reusable (even with water), easy to adjust sprigs, can adjust as much as you want. Like I said, perfect for table arrangements!!

My Boho succulent tablescape combines both gold and galvanized/silver. I have these awesome containers (the ones I arranged the succulents in) that I’ve taken this idea from, and I’ve actually used it quite a bit and LOVE it! It marries fancy and casual which is reflective of my life. I’m a ‘So. Cal. flip flop loving’ girl married to an ‘east coast, wear a suit and closed toed shoes’ guy.

Living in the desert has loosened him up some, but not much. The succulents under the candlesticks are tiny wreaths, too big for candlestick toppers too small for a door but tons of uses. I promise you’ll see these again! The natural wood-look plates are melamine. Perfect for alfresco dining, kids and people like me that tend to break things! Happy Tablescaping!
