Living in the Southwest desert for the last 6 years my love for the bohemian or ‘boho’ look has grown immensely! Cacti, rocks, wood, pampas, simplicity, light flowing clothes, and artistic elements reflecting Native American craftsmen.

I’ve done a few tablescapes with a ‘boho’ feel to them but here’s one that tips completely over to Boho! A simple glass vase with dried and faux naturals in it. Pampas grass is a must! It’s a mess though, see my post that includes tips and tricks to working with pampas grass in your design.

Wood bead garlands are a super simple way to up your tablescaping game. They were really expensive when they first became popular and now they are totally affordable! I use them in all my decorating and even pull them off everything and hang them on my Christmas tree in winter!! Why not?

Layers, layers and more layers! That’s what makes this table pop! I’ve used the main colors in the chargers and plates for layering and my napkins make a great additional layer. On the center run of the table notice I’ve layered 3 runners AND a napkin placed diagonally!

The color and texture help bring this table together! Don’t be afraid to try layering, all kinds of layering. Sometimes you think it’ll work, and it does ….and sometimes it doesn’t! And that’s OK!! Try again. Tablescaping is a forgiving art. Transient and forgiving. So tomorrow or the next party or event try something new!
Happy Tablescaping!
