To be real….I usually use paper plates. I know, I know ironic! I hate dishes…no, no I LOATHE dishes. That being said, I usually have my table set a certain way…. And then add paper plates.
My blog really is about special occasions to have a tablescape for, and boy do I on special occasions. The rest of the time I use what I call my ‘Basic Table’.
I use ‘real’ dishes as we say in our house. And wait for it…. Real glasses. Yes, I know we go all out on Sunday. If you have a ‘Basic Table’ set up, if anyone comes over it looks quite impressive. (Even if you use paper plates most days ) As we did in our house, your family will just have to get use to it. Neutral, simple, easy to leave all the time. I do add more on Sunday. I call it my ‘Sunday Table’.
Mine still push the placemats and chargers back sometimes because they don’t want to clean them. I can’t really blame them.
But for the most part they tolerate my décor. And for the most part it always looks pretty good!
